Firewire introduces the Seaside Gallery Limited Edition, an exclusive and individually numbered version of one of Rob Machado’s most recognisable surfboards.

Created in collaboration with artist Todd DiCiurcio, this special edition combines the performance of the iconic Seaside with original artwork developed specifically for this release.

Each surfboard is individually numbered as part of a limited series with a maximum possible numbering of 400 worldwide. Actual production may remain below this limit, making every board even more exclusive.

Where surfing meets art

The Seaside Gallery is the result of a collaboration between Rob Machado and Todd DiCiurcio, an American artist known for work defined by movement, spontaneity and energy.

DiCiurcio’s art frequently captures atmosphere and emotion through expressive lines and visual gestures that convey a strong sense of motion. For this special edition, that artistic language moves from the canvas onto the surfboard, transforming every Seaside Gallery into an immediately recognisable piece.

The result is a board designed to be surfed while also possessing the visual character and exclusivity of a collectable work of art.

A limited and individually numbered edition

Every Seaside Gallery features an individual number within a series carrying a maximum possible worldwide numbering of 400.

This does not necessarily mean that 400 surfboards will be produced. It represents the maximum numbering available for the series, with actual production potentially ending before board 400/400 is reached.

Each board therefore occupies its own position within this special release, reinforcing its exclusivity and potential appeal to surfers, Rob Machado followers, Firewire enthusiasts and collectors.

Rob Machado’s Seaside

The Seaside was born from Rob Machado’s ambition to evolve the original Go Fish concept into a surfboard capable of tighter turns, faster directional changes and more performance-oriented surfing.

To achieve this, Rob reduced the surface area through the tail, narrowed the tips of the swallow tail, introduced additional curve into the outline and refined the nose.

The result is a fast, flowing and responsive surfboard that generates speed in small and weaker waves while offering greater control and manoeuvrability than a traditional fish.

The Seaside is particularly well suited to waves between 1 and 5 feet, with a clear preference for smaller, less powerful conditions and everyday sessions.

Designed exclusively as a quad

The Seaside was developed from the ground up to work exclusively with a four-fin configuration.

Rather than adapting a conventional thruster concept into a quad, Rob Machado designed the concaves, bottom contours and distribution of surface area around the specific characteristics of a quad setup.

This approach combines the speed and drive traditionally associated with keel fins with greater control, projection and responsiveness through turns.

The Machado Seaside Quad configuration is the natural choice for unlocking the full potential of the board, having been designed specifically to complement this model.

Carbon Gallery Edition

The carbon construction adds another exclusive dimension to the Seaside Gallery.

Alongside Todd DiCiurcio’s distinctive artwork, this edition is designed to deliver a light, direct and highly responsive feeling underfoot, complementing the fast and dynamic nature of the shape.

The combination of the Seaside outline, quad configuration and Carbon Gallery Edition construction creates a surfboard for riders seeking speed, flow and immediate response in small to medium-sized waves.

A surfboard to ride and collect

The Seaside Gallery Limited Edition occupies an unusual position within the world of surfboards.

On one hand, it retains the characteristics that have made the Seaside one of Rob Machado’s most popular designs. On the other, it introduces a special construction, exclusive artwork and individual numbering.

It is a surfboard designed to deliver fast and enjoyable sessions, but it is also an object that represents the connection between surfing, contemporary art and design.

The Firewire Seaside Gallery Limited Edition will be available through a selected number of surf shops, including SurfersLab.

For anyone looking to add one of Firewire’s most exclusive releases to their collection, this is a launch that will be difficult to overlook.

Two Gallery Edition fin sets

The Seaside Gallery launch is accompanied by two fin sets featuring the same exclusive artwork created by Todd DiCiurcio: the Machado Seaside Quad Gallery Edition and the Machado Twin Keel Gallery Edition.

The Machado Seaside Quad Gallery Edition fins were developed specifically for the Seaside’s four-fin configuration. The set combines the drive and speed associated with a keel fin with the control, projection and directional response offered by a quad setup.

For surfers who prefer twin-fin surfboards, the collection also includes the Machado Twin Keel Gallery Edition. Featuring a generous surface area and a profile inspired by traditional keel fins, they are designed to generate speed, stability and flowing lines across compatible twin-fin models.

Although they share the same artwork and belong to the same collection, the two sets are intended for different fin configurations. The Seaside Quad set is the correct choice for complementing the Firewire Seaside Gallery, while the Twin Keel set is designed for compatible twin-fin surfboards.

The Gallery Edition graphics extend the artistic collaboration beyond the surfboard, allowing surfers to complete the Seaside setup or bring the visual identity of this special edition to other models.

The Firewire Seaside Gallery Limited Edition is now available at SurfersLab in extremely limited quantities.
